The Hotel

Stay the night over in one of our 30 comfortable and spacious rooms, all with shower or bathtub, toilet, TV and some with balcony to the south side.

Start the day with a nutritious breakfast and a beautiful view over Franconia or enjoy a piece of homemade cake – made by our head chef – in the afternoon on our terrace.

End the day with a game of billiards or bowling. A wireless internet hotspot in the entrance hall is to your free usage.

We also welcome your pet.

Check-in starts at 2pm. Check-out till 10:30 am. If you like to check-in early or check-out late, please contact us.

If you are on a journey through Germany, if you want to make holidays, if you visit a trade fair in Nuremberg or if you are hiking through the beautiful landscape of Franconia – you are always accommodated well in the Hotel Berghof!

The hotel is situated at the northern end of the very small village Schermshöhe right next to the forest and the two hiking trails “Main-Donau-Weg” and “Fränkischer Gebirgsweg”.

From the hotel to our restaurant in the Gasthof Schermshöhe it is just a 5 minutes´ walk, approximately 300 meters.

And if you are on a hiking journey through Franconia we can offer you the transportation of your luggage to your next accommodation.

Even for climbers the “Franken Jura” offers a wide range of climbing rocks with different difficulties right next to the Hotel Berghof.

Due to the fact that the highways A9 Berlin-Munich exit “Hormersdorf”, number 47 is just 1 kilometer away, you are in 20 minutes at the trade fair in Nuremberg and in half an hour in the city of Bayreuth.

Visit also the “Teufelshöhle” and the “Sommerrodelbahn” in Pottenstein, the world famous basilica with an altar designed by Balthasar Neumann in Gößweinstein or the old city of Lauf.

During the winter months you can go cross-country skiing directly from the Hotel Berghof using different trails with a total length of nearly 60 kilometers or you can go skiing just one kilometer away.

Our hotel is also the right place for your business meetings. We can offer you a spacious conference room either for up to 50 people (chairs only) or up to 30 people (tables and chairs). The conference room is equipped with a big screen, a blackboard, a pin board, an OHP and wireless internet.

Moreover we can offer you a small meeting room for up to 12 people (tables and chairs).
